The Eradication of Corruption Is Now Viewed More Concerning

RakyatUtama. Member of House of Representatives Commission III Didik Mukrianto said he was very concerned about eradicating corruption at this time. Because, he said, despite the ongoing efforts to take action, corruption did not diminish.

In fact, he continued, more and more corruptors were arrested by law enforcement, both the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), the Police and the Attorney General's Office. "I am very concerned about eradicating corruption now," said Didik Mukrianto

Therefore, according to him, the need for extra breakthroughs that must be done by the government and law enforcement to immediately break the chain and upstream of corruption, not only suppress the downstream. "The government must be firmly related to political will and concrete actions to eradicate corruption," said the Democratic Party politician.

He continued, more concretely, the government and law enforcement must reformulate the grand design together related to eradicating corruption. He added, the government, KPK, police and prosecutors must formulate a single Grand Design together and dare to target when corruption can be stopped, maybe 10 years, maybe 20 years or 50 years.

Thus, he continued, it is hoped that there will be real, comprehensive and integrated efforts from all fronts. "Starting from building an integration zone and a more transparent system that involves the public in managing state finances, in addition to massive prevention and repression," he said.

He continued, from year to year there must be concrete measures and evaluations that are more measurable, so that it can be a permanent solution to counter corruption. With Indonesia's clean target for corruption, he said, it would be a measure of the commitment of the government and law enforcement in eradicating corruption in a real way.

In addition, according to him, the location of this ineffective eradication of corruption needs to be ensured in its entirety and precisely. "Is corruption really a culture, does the system have to be corrected, does the law enforcer only do the work in Business Administration, is it also the purpose of eradicating only a small number on a regular basis?"

He added, with evaluations from time to time, by continuing to make improvements and strengthen the country's financial management system, a permanent solution would be obtained. "If you only rely on culture and action, without a well-built system, eradicating corruption will only work as it is and Indonesia will never be free from corruption," he said.

Because, he said, as smart as possible or as bad as corrupt, a system that was built strong would be difficult to break through. "Because only a system that can be trusted and honest is to be a barrier against all forms of corruption crimes," he concluded.
